59th International Astronautical Congress
The Biggest Space Conference and Trade Show comes to the UK
The global space community, including manufacturers, operators, regulators and users of telecommunications, observation, surveillance, navigation and exploration systems and data will meet for the world’s biggest space and space-related conference and trade show in Glasgow this year. As in previous years, visitors are expected from all the major markets for those systems and services, including the USA, Japan, China, India, Russia and Europe.
IAC 2008 will provide an international focus through the presentation of the latest ideas, current activities and future ambitions across a diverse range of space-related topics.
A hugely important element to the Congress is the International Exhibition. The exhibition offers a global business and networking forum bringing together international buyers and suppliers creating an opportunity for interaction, relationship building and business generation.

To give you an idea of the size of the event, IAC 2007 in India attracted 2000 Delegates, with 120 organisations exhibiting.
Venue
From 29 September to 3 October 2008, the 59th IAC (International Astronautical Congress andExhibition) takes place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.
Situated on the banks of the River Clyde just five minutes from the lively city centre, the SECC is one of the largest integrated meeting venues in Europe and offers excellent all round facilities for this important annual meeting. The pleasant, modern atmosphere of the exhibition halls extend over 10,000m2 and are situated on the doorstep of the conference facilities.

Exhibition

The centrepiece of the Exhibition will be a HOST NATION ZONE, an opportunity for British industry, research establishments and academia to promote their achievements and to market their activities and capabilities as a UK entity.
