PhD Students Symposium - “Space - your future!”
September 2009
Call for Papers
Space is playing an ever more important role in our everyday lives, providing us with much of what we consider essential, from TV broadcasts, weather forecasts and instant news flashes from across the globe, to mobile communications, navigation signals and even the timing of our bank transactions.
With the growing threat of global warming and climate change, we must look to space for some of the socio-economic and innovative solutions, not just to solve the technical problems here on Earth, but also to continue to expand our knowledge of the universe and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
What are you doing about it?
The Society is planning to hold a one-day symposium for PhD students to present their ideas and thoughts on what is new in space science, technology, applications, innovation, etc.
There will also be a poster session in the Society’s Library.
Subjects, titles, paper, posters and a summary paragraph should be submitted as soon as possible to: Mary McGivern at: The British Interplanetary Society, 27/29 South Lambeth Road, London SW8 1SZ or email to: mary@bis-spaceflight.com
